Research is one of the key focus areas at Kenyatta University. It powers innovation, support academic activities, generates revenue, and enhances relevance and visibility of the University.
The Directorate is mandated to augment the university’s research capacity through skills development to increase competitiveness for research funding, and facilitate knowledge sharing and technology transfer to targeted stakeholders, users and audiences.
This aims at tapping in the enormous potential for high quality research and the large number of qualified staff in diverse areas of specialization, modern infrastructure and facilities, and strong collaborations that the University has established at national, regional and global levels.
