DRYLANDS COURSE
Title: “Working with Environmental Variability for Enhanced Water and Food Security in the Drylands”.
Kenyatta University (KU) in collaboration with the Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) have co-developed a five-day short course for policy makers and practitioners working in the Kenyan ASALs. The objective of the course to strengthen the capacity of county and national government actors and NGOs to plan for the delivery of food and water security in the ASALs under conditions of increasing climate risk. The course will focus on the interactions between production systems and the environment, good governance and sustainable resource management.

TARGET GROUP
With a global focus, the Centre targets the teaching staff and managers of all universities and other education institutions, commissions for higher education, national examination councils and students loan agencies; staff of government ministries and corporations, County and Sub-County staff; diplomatic, foreign missions’ staff and International Organizations; Research firms/agencies, postgraduate students and aspiring leaders. It also offers training to staffs NGOs and CBOs.
