Kenyatta University has established a directorate of Capacity Development and Consultancy Services (CDCS) as a one stop shop that coordinates all short-course trainings and consultancy work and services done under schools and staff of the University. CDCS is headed by a Director reporting to the Vice Chancellor. The Directorate is also guided by a Board, training and consultancy policy framework which gives it flexibility and efficiency in dealing with clientele. The activities of the directorate leverages on the diverse and broad capacity from a staff of 1200 spread across the 18 schools of the university , 21 directorates , and 8 centers. By tapping into the capacities and skills, CDCS has enabled the University access training and consultancy opportunities and has exploited the synergy of collaboration and partnerships with other organizations in delivering solutions to the country and the East Africa Region.
