Welcome to Kenyatta University Capacity Development And Consultancy Services
Welcome to the Directorate of Capacity Development and Consultancy Services (KU-CDCS) that was established in August 2018. The Directorate resulted from the University restructuring process aimed at increasing efficiency in Service Delivery. Two directorates that operated independently; International Centre for Capacity Development (ICCD) established in June 2007 was merged with Kenyatta University Consultancy Services Unit (KU-CSU) that was established in January 2014.
The Directorate is mandated to build a highly competent industry based workforce by providing quality training and consultancy services. The trainings and consultancy services are anchored in the achievement of the sustainable Development Goals; goal number four on inclusive and equitable quality education and promotion of lifelong learning opportunities for all and goal number eight on promotion of sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment. The Office is geared towards the fulfillment of the Big-4 Agenda by the Government of Kenya.
The Directorate specific mandates are:-
- Market the training programmes and consultancy services in Kenya and internationally
- Act on various training and consultancy requests from institutions as well as strategic clients in the region and internationally.
- Establish priority training areas in response to market demands in Kenya, the region and internationally.
- To seek consultancy opportunities to be executed under the auspices of Kenyatta University.
- Develop strategic collaborations with training development partners for enhancing impact nationally, regionally and globally.
- Design, develop and suggest research based solutions to industry players
